Who was Prophet Muhammad ﷺ?

A concise introduction to the final messenger—his character, mission, and lasting example.

Who was Prophet Muhammad ﷺ?

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born in Makkah around 570 CE. Muslims believe he is the final messenger of God, sent as a mercy to the worlds with the Quran as revelation.

Before prophethood he was known among his people as trustworthy (al-Amin). After revelation began at age forty, he called to monotheism, justice, and moral excellence.

Character as the message

His teachings cover belief and law, but his daily example—mercy to orphans, honesty in trade, patience under hardship—shows how revelation looks in human life.

The most accessible way to know him today is to read Quran alongside authentic seerah summaries and apply one prophetic habit at a time: truthfulness, gentleness, or generosity.
